Step 1: Follow these simple steps to get started on your journey to dancing like a professional
Right Foot Forward: Now, take your right foot and step forward. Be sure to put your weight on that foot so that you feel stable. As you do this, swing your left leg back behind youa. Cross your left foot behind your right foot. Part of Chain Step 20b and I call it the foundation.
Hop and Swing: Time to get your body moving! Hop onto your right foot as you swing your left leg back to the front. In doing this, uncross your left foot from behind your right foot and plant it firmly on the ground. When you do this, you will return to your starting position.
Do The Other Side: Once you’ve practiced one side let’s flip it! Hop forward onto your left foot and do the same steps you just did but now have your left foot leading. Just practice of jumping back n forth from one side to other side until you won't have to think much about it.
Add It to Your Dance: Once you feel good about the move, work on adding it into different places in your dance. For example, you could do it after a dramatic pause, or use it to transition between two faster moves. It will add variation to your dance.
Put Your Own Spin on Its Changetup: once you improve the Chain Step 20b and become more comfortable, you can begin to change it up and make it your very own. You can experiment with different rhythms, or vary the way you jump and swoop. The more different and unique your dance, the more entertaining it will be for you and the audience!
